Our landscaping contract for the common development areas is with Schill Landscaping and Lawn Care Services, Inc. Each homeowner is responsible for the care and maintenance of their yard, including the tree lawn.
We have discovered an infestation of muskrats in our retention ponds at the front of the development. This is a common occurrence in retention ponds and other developments have had to deal with this issue as well. The muskrats have been chewing the electrical cords to the fountains and have burrows along the banks creating a large amount of unwanted erosion.
The Board has hired a professional exterminator to remove the muskrats. He will be setting traps in and along the shoreline of the ponds.
This letter is a warning asking you to please stay away from the traps and keep your children away from the shoreline of the ponds. As a reminder, there is no fishing, boating or swimming in the ponds as written in the association bylaws.
If you have any questions please call any of your board members.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
